The LoveLaila Foundation, Inc. in memory of Lauren Laila Townsend, is sponsoring in partnership with the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA), the first Take Steps Walk in Northwest Indiana. CCFA's Take Steps Walks are the nation's largest fund raising events dedicated to finding cures for digestive diseases. Take Steps is a casual 2-3 mile stroll to raise money for crucial research, bringing us closer to a future free from Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Over 1.6 million American adults and children like Lauren Laila are affected by these digestive diseases. Unfortunately Lauren suffered in silence for 16 years and passed away at the age of only 26.
